merry Christmas eve!

This Christmas holiday looks very different for everyone this year... COVID has caused such a disruption to so many holiday traditions and gatherings. We wish everyone's a healthy holiday that filled with gratitude and joy.

Whitney and I are spending our first Christmas apart. I am back in Texas with some amazing family friends while Whitney remains back home. We are both doing our best to get back into a routine (although the holidays and COVID do make that difficult) and focus on ourselves. In last few years we have had a variety of Christmas days, but the one thing in common was that it was always the three of us together. I feel lost without Dad here during this time; everything feels so different. We miss Dad more than I can express, and future holidays seem strange without him there.

But I know I am not alone this year. Many of us have had such a challenging year, so much loss and stress. I pray that God brings peace and hope this Christmas, as it is the true meaning of the season.

Thank you for all the prayers and support during this season. So many have donated to our cause that will help Whitney and I stay on our feet as we transition to life with Dad gone. We can't express our gratitude for those who have been there for us; and may that be the one thing I am grateful for this year.

Dad, I miss you so much. I miss our traditions of cutting down a tree in Santa Cruz, and watching a Christmas Story all day on Christmas. I miss the joy and light you brought into every room. I miss getting you gifts that you didn't want and eating our hearts out in sweets. It will be so hard to not see you tomorrow morning; I pray that Whitney and I feel your presence all day. I am so mad that you are not here with us this year, but I know you are healing and at peace with Jesus now. I love you so much
